Implementasi algoritme PRESENT pada model smart-home berbasis long-range (LoRa)

Abstrak:
Internet-of-Things sudah semakin marak dibutuhkan untuk memberikan kemudahan bagi pengguna dalam melakukan tugas-tugas nya. Semua orang tidak dapat lepas dari teknologi IoT. Namun dalam penggunaannya IoT terdapat celah keamanan dalam komunikasinya salah satu contohnya adalah Eavesdropping. Pada penelitian ini ditawarkan sistem IoT berbasis LoRa (Long-Range) dengan menambahkan algoritma PRESENT untuk mengatasi Eavesdropping. Sistem Smart-Home ini secara efektif mengontrol aktuator. Pengguna dapat dengan mudah mengontrol sistem dengan menggunakan aplikasi Blynk IoT pada Smartphone. Penggunaan algoritma PRESENT yang ringan, diterapkan pada perangkat Smart-Home untuk memberikan keamanan dan enkripsi untuk transmisi data. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian pada sistem, didapatkan bahwa algoritma PRESENT mampu mengatasi Eavesdropping. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian performa, pada kondisi LOS mencapai jarak jangkauan 4,56 km dengan nilai RSSI tertinggi sebesar 160 dBm dan terendah 155 dBm. Pada kondisi NLOS sistem ini memiliki jangkauan komunikasi untuk mengaktifkan aktuator di dalam gedung bertingkat hingga 4 lantai dengan nilai RSSI tertinggi sebesar 211 dan terendah sebesar 157. Sistem ini memiliki time delay komunikasi sebesar 0,555 detik. Konsumsi daya yang dibutuhkan oleh sistem transmitter yaitu 38,4 watt/jam dan sistem receiver 31,8 watt/jam. Ukuran data yang dikirimkan sebesar 3,79 kb.

Abstract:
The Internet of Things (IoT) plays an ever-increasing role in providing convenience for users in carrying out their tasks. It has become an integral part of our lives, and yet, the use of IoT technology introduces security vulnerabilities in communication. One such vulnerability is eavesdropping. In this research, we propose a LoRa (Long-Range) based IoT system that incorporates the PRESENT algorithm to address the issue of eavesdropping. This Smart-Home system effectively controls the actuators, allowing users to easily manage and monitor the system using the Blynk IoT application on their smartphones. To ensure secure and encrypted data transmission, the lightweight PRESENT algorithm is applied to the Smart-Home devices. The test results demonstrate that the PRESENT algorithm successfully mitigates eavesdropping attacks. Based on the results of performance testing, under Line-of-Sight (LOS) conditions, the system achieves a range of 4.56 km, with the highest Recorded Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) value of 160 dBm and the lowest value of 155 dBm. In non-line-of-sight (NLOS) conditions, this system is capable of activating actuators in multi-story buildings up to 4 floors, with the highest RSSI value of 211 and the lowest value of 157. The communication system experiences a time delay of 0.555 seconds. The transmitter system requires a power consumption of 38.4 watts/hour, while the receiver system consumes 31.8 watts/hour. The size of the transmitted data is 3.79 kb.
