Implementasi komunikasi radio berbasis automatic packet reporting system (APRS) pada perangkat Raspberry Pi dengan menerapkan internet protocol security

Abstrak:
Dalam perkembangan teknologi, komunikasi memiliki ancaman diantaranya spoofing attack, jamming attack dan penyadapan yang membahayakan sektor-sektor publik. Dalam masalah ini, pemerintah Indonesia telah tanggap dalam pelindungan infrastruktur informasi vital dengan membuat dan mengesahkan Peraturan Presiden nomor 82 tahun 2022 tentang Pelindungan Infrastruktur Informasi Vital (IIV). Komunikasi radio dapat dijadikan salah satu solusi alternatif apabila terjadi serangan dalam sektor komunikasi IIV. Namun, dalam penerapannya komunikasi radio masih mengalami masalah dalam penerimaan palsu. Automatic Packet Reporting System (APRS) merupakan layanan komunikasi radio yang dapat mengirimkan laporan posisi,dan pesan antar pengguna. Pada penelitian ini membangun komunikasi APRS menggunakan metode komunikasi node 1 dan node 2 secara point-to-point. Penerapan IP Security berhasil dilakukan dengan menyediakan keamanan pada komunikasi APRS dengan menerapakan protokol ESP. Hasil yang didapatkan pada jarak 300 meter dengan kondisi LOS dan NLOS dengan halangan bangunan dan pepohanan tetap dapat berkomunikasi dengan delay kurang dari 30 detik. Serta komunikasi APRS yang dibangun menghasilkan kualitas sinyal berupa nilai SNR rata-rata 25 dB dengan kondisi LOS dan kondisi waktu yang berbeda.

Abstract:
In the context of technological advancements, communication faces threats such as spoofing attacks, jamming attacks, and eavesdropping, which pose risks to public sectors. In addressing this issue, the Indonesian government has been proactive in safeguarding critical information infrastructure by creating and ratifying Presidential Regulation number 82 of 2022 concerning the Protection of Vital Information Infrastructure (VII). Radio communication can serve as an alternative solution in the event of an attack on the VII communication sector. However, in its implementation, radio communication still encounters challenges in false reception. The Automatic Packet Reporting System (APRS) is a radio communication service capable of transmitting position reports and messages between users. In this study, we establish APRS communication using the point-to-point communication method between node 1 and node 2. The implementation of IP Security has been successfully carried out by providing security to APRS communication through the application of the ESP protocol. The results obtained at a distance of 300 meters under Line of Sight (LOS) and Non-Line of Sight (NLOS) conditions, involving obstacles such as buildings and vegetation, show that communication remains possible with a delay of less than 30 seconds. Furthermore, the constructed APRS communication yields signal quality in terms of an average Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) value of 25 dB under LOS conditions and varying time conditions.
