Abstract:
There are several security threats that may occur in the process of distributing data digitally through electronic media. As a security service in data distribution, cryptographic methods are needed, to protect the copyright of digital documents or data, digital signatures are needed, and so that the document's signature value is not sent separately, a steganography method is also needed. Digital Signature Algorithm (DSA) is a standard signature algorithm that provides non-repudiation services. In this Final Project research, it is shown the implementation of DSA with SHA-512 in digital images by utilizing the PVO-based reversible image steganography method. The basic idea of this research is to sign with a message in the form of a digital image whose features have been extracted, then a steganographic method is performed on the resulting signature value. The results show that DSA and SHA-512 can be implemented in digital images, both Grayscale and RGB types, without any pixel size restrictions and show that the hidden signature value does not cause a visual change to the cover image. The results of the performance evaluation and analysis of the robustness test of the PVO steganography method in this study showed quite good results of the Detection Rate, MSE, and PSNR.
