Sofware engineering principles and practice
In 2013, the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK) Guide V3 was formally approved by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society (IEEE-CS) Board of Governors. This guide contains a comprehensive description of the knowledge required of a professional software engineer after four years of experience and is viewed by the IEEE-CS as the authoritative source of such information [1]. In addition, the Guide was used to inform the contents of the Computer Science Curricula 2013: Curriculum Guidelines for Undergraduate Degree Programs in Computer Science [2] and the Software Engineering 2013 Curriculum Guidelines for Undergraduate Degree Programs in Software Engineering [3], both of which were developed by a joint task force of the IEEE-CS and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
