Pattern-word list vol. 1
The accompanying pattern-words, also termed isomorphic words, have compiled manually by the author over a period of many years. All words have been taken from Webster’s New International Dictionary, Third Edition. With respect to the words in this volume 1 the folloing explanatory notes are made:
1. This volume includes words up to and including 10 letters in length.
2. Words are included when there are more repetitions within a word than that of single letter repeating itself once. Thus, so-called “single-echo” words are not included in this volume
3. This volume includes those words where the first letter of a word contirbutes to the pattern
4. The digit “0” is used to designate the 10th position
5. The symbol * at the end of a word indicates that the word often is capitalized
6. An underlined letter (or letters) at the end of the word (often beneath the letter “s”) indicates that the word has the same pattern with or without the letter(s) underlined
7. Words in webster’s New International Dictionary, Third Edition, listed as “obsolete” are normally not included; but word marked “ archaic” are included
8. Inflectional forms are included; such as plurals, past tense of verbs, etc.
9. Archaic verbal endings in “-est” and “-eth” have normally not been included
