Perkembangan Internet yang semakin pesat tentu membawa kemudahan bagi usernya. Namun seiring dengan perkembangannya juga membawa ancaman seperti serangan malware, virus, botnet, dan serangan hacker. Oleh karena itu perlu dibuat perlindungan untuk mencegah dan mengatasi ancaman tersebut. Salah satu penanganannya adalah dengan menggunakan IDS yang berbasis signature yang membutuhkan rule untuk mendeteksi ancaman. Untuk membuat rule salah satu solusi yang ada adalah dengan melakukan otomasi sesuai yang dilakukan Brandon Rice pada master thesisnya di 2014. Tujuan dari otomasi ini adalah untuk mempermudah dan mempercepat proses pembuatan rule IDS dari input berbagai macam berkas yang diberikan user. Oleh karena itu pada tugas akhir ini dilakukan pembuatan aplikasi untuk membuat rule IDS dari input berupa berkas pcap dengan metode SDLC prototipe untuk mempercepat dan memudahkan proses pembuatan rule IDS. Hasil dari aplikasi yang dibangun menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi dapat digunakan untuk membuat rule untuk IDS yang dapat digunakan secara efektif.

Malware Traffic Analysis To Build Rule Generator Application For IDS
The rapid development of the internet certainly brings convience to its users. But along with its development also bring a threats such as malware, virus, botnet, and hacker attack. Therefore protection needed to be made to prevent and overcome these threats. One of the protection that can be use is using a signature based IDS that require rules to work. One of the solutions to create an IDS rule is to make an automation according to what Brandon Rice did for his master theses in 2014. The purpose of this automation is to simplify and spreed ip the process of creating rules from various kinds of files provided by user. Therefore in this final project, an application is build to create an IDS rule form input in the form of a pcap files with SDLC prototype method to accelerate and simplify the process of creating IDS rules. The result of the application built show that the application can be used to generate an IDS rule that can be used effectively.
