Analisis Forensik Digital Aplikasi Sync dan Terabox pada Platform iOS untuk Menemukan Artefak yang Dihapus Berdasarkan NIST 800-101 Rev 1

Abstrak:
Layanan cloud storage tersedia di berbagai platform khususnya pada perangkat mobile. Terdapat beberapa sistem operasi pada perangkat mobile salah satunya adalah iPhone Operating System (iOS). Terdapat beberapa aplikasi cloud storage yang tersedia untuk platform iOS contohnya seperti Sync dan TeraBox. Selain tempat penyimpanan hal-hal positif, layanan cloud storage juga digunakan sebagai tempat penyimpanan terkait dengan tindakan kriminal dan tempat penyebaran konten bajakan, kekerasan, terorisme, maupun konten eksplisit. Data yang telah disimpan maupun dihapus pada aplikasi Sync dan TeraBox dapat dijadikan sebagai bukti digital untuk mengungkapkan kejahatan yang telah dilakukan. Bukti digital tersebut didapatkan dengan melakukan proses forensik digital. Proses forensik digital dalam langkah pengujian berdasarkan standar NIST 800-101 Rev 1. Penelitian ini menggunakan skenario pada sisi aplikasi yaitu mengunggah, mengunduh, dan menghapus file secara langsung pada aplikasi sedangkan pada sisi perangkat terdapat tiga skenario yaitu tidak dilakukan offload mode dan delete application, dilakukan offload mode, dan dilakukan delete application. Pada tahap akuisisi dan analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan Magnet Axiom Forensics. File artefak yang berhasil didapatkan pada tahapan pemeriksaan, kemudian dilakukan analisis dengan cara membandingkan artefak ditemukan dengan file yang digunakan salam skenario. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran dilakukannya forensik digital terhadap aplikasi cloud storage pada platform iOS.
Abstract:
Cloud storage services are available on various platforms, especially on mobile devices. There are several operating systems for mobile devices, one of which is the iPhone Operating System (iOS). There are several cloud storage applications available for the iOS platform, such as Sync and TeraBox. Besides being a positive storage solution, cloud storage services are also used for criminal activities and the distribution of pirated content, violent, terrorist, and explicit content. Data that has been stored or deleted in the Sync and TeraBox applications can serve as digital evidence to reveal the committed crimes. This digital evidence is obtained through the process of digital forensics, following the steps outlined in the NIST 800-101 Rev 1 standard. The research conducted in this study focuses on application-side scenarios, including uploading, downloading, and directly deleting files within the applications. On the device side, there are three scenarios: not performing offload mode and delete application, performing offload mode, and performing delete application. During the acquisition and analysis phase, Magnet Axiom Forensics is used. The artifacts obtained during the examination are then analyzed by comparing them with the files used in the scenarios. The purpose of this research is to provide an overview of digital forensics on cloud storage applications on the iOS platform.
