Android Operating System merupakan sistem operasi populer untuk perangkat mobile yang bersifat open-source. Karena sifatnya yang open-source, smartphone berbasis Android OS lebih rentan terhadap aktivitas kriminal. Seiring meningkatnya pengguna smartphone berbasis Android OS, potensi bukti kejahatan yang disimpan dalam perangkat tersebut juga akan mengalami peningkatan. Hal tersebut disebabkan aplikasi atau fitur pada smartphone berbasis Android OS menghasilkan dan menyimpan data dalam jumlah besar pada penyimpanan internal smartphone. Jumlah dan kualitas data pada perangkat mobile dan layanan di dalamnya dapat berguna dalam proses investigasi yang mana menjadikan mobile forensic sangat penting bagi penegakkan hukum, penyidikan dan pengadilan. Volume dan varietas data pada perangkat mobile akan menyulitkan investigator dalam melakukan investigasi apabila faktor availability, selection, correlation dan reliability dari bukti digital tidak ditangani dengan baik. Oleh karena itu, Model Digital Evidence Semantic Ontology (DESO) digunakan untuk mengatasi masalah peningkatan volume dan varietas guna mendokumentasikan availability dari artefak bukti digital, memungkinkan selection pada artefak yang sesuai dengan alur investigasi tertentu serta memungkinkan correlation dari ekstraksi data dari sumber yang heterogen serta mempertimbangkan reliability dari data tersebut. Model DESO yang dijalankan menggunakan pemograman kueri SPARQL akan diterapkan untuk pengujian relevansi bukti digital pada tahap examination. Hasilnya, penerapan Model DESO dengan SPARQL dalam pengujian relevansi bukti digital pada penyimpanan internal smartphone berbasis Android OS mampu membantu investigator untuk memperoleh bukti digital yang relevan dengan kasus sehingga penanganan kasus dapat dilakukan dengan cepat dan efisien.

The Android Operating System is a popular open-source operating system for mobile devices. Due to its open-source nature, Android OS-based smartphones are more vulnerable to criminal activities. As the number of Android OS smartphone users increases, the potential for storing evidence of crimes on these devices also grows. This is because applications or features on Android OS-based smartphones generate and store a significant amount of data on the device's internal storage. The volume and quality of data on mobile devices and their services can be useful in the investigative process, making mobile forensics crucial for law enforcement, investigation, and court proceedings. The volume and variety of data on mobile devices pose challenges to investigators if factors such as availability, selection, correlation, and reliability of digital evidence are not handled properly. Therefore, the Digital Evidence Semantic Ontology (DESO) model is used to address the issue of increasing volume and variety by documenting the availability of digital evidence artifacts, enabling the selection of artifacts relevant to a specific investigation flow, and facilitating correlation of extracted data from heterogeneous sources and considering the reliability of that data. The DESO model implemented using SPARQL query programming is applied to test the relevance of digital evidence during the examination stage. The results demonstrate that the application of the DESO model with SPARQL in testing the relevance of digital evidence on the internal storage of Android OS-based smartphones assists investigators in obtaining relevant digital evidence for a case, enabling swift and efficient case handling.
